vintage 80s Halloween light up pumpkin guy

i like the Halloween collectibles and decorations of course. heres one you don't see often. 80s scarecrow/pumpkin head light up. i've had one of mine since the 80s. the other 2 i found more recently. i think these are pretty rare. very nice,unusual piece. uses 2 AA batteries. eyes flash and it makes the familiar ghosty sound. activated by touching the metal pegs on the hand. anyone got one of these? 

 

 

1979 Halloween novel - cover art Pumpkin find

i was always a fan of the cover art on the vintage Halloween novels. until recently,i did not know that the pumpkin on this version of the 1979 Halloween cover was based on a real item. i found a match(a few of them actually)by accident while searching out vintage Halloween stuff. how i never saw this old blow mold pumpkin before is a mystery because when i saw this one the other day i recognized it right away. it's a 13 inch tall trick or treat pail. the design is almost certainly from the 1960s,and probably continued into the 70s.. which makes sense for the 1979 artwork. its a dead on match to the pumpkin on the cover. interesting vintage Halloween find.

Donnie Darko Frank #3. small,5 inch resin face sculpt. lots of detail,super creepy. i did this sculpt in 2017 and i'm not sure i could do any better today. its pretty darn accurate. i only did about 10 of these. 1 available now. $60 shipped Canada. $50 shipped US
